Childhood special!!

Childhood! The time when we used go to school and dream about growing up and going to college, sheer ignorance I must say..

12-15 years back from now, even strangers gave us warm smiles and today, even some close ones think whether to share looks or not? This is everyone's story, so I am happy to share.
I am sure every person must have thought this at least once after he/she crossed the age of 18, "I wish I never grew up." Nothing better than being loved by every other person you meet, isn't it? That's the childhood magic! Everybody loves you, and today suddenly you think, I am still the same person, more or less cute than before, but yes, I am the same! What has changed? Why are things so complicated? Why do we have to think before we act?

The strange truth is, not much changes with age, everything around us remains the same, what tends to change is how we look at the world. As children, we were never aware of the worldly "rights and wrongs" and "goods and bads". As we grow up, we see how the world functions with courtesy, etiquettes and manners. We eventually assume that people around us tend to judge us. Now that is a danger signal in every person's mind.. "being judged." Perhaps that is the reason why people pretend, act or lie. Nobody wants to be misjudged and misinterpreted, but only a few realize that the best way not to be misinterpreted is by being honest and truthful.

Nowadays, speaking lies is not even considered a bad deed by the conscience, it seems to be mandatory in many situations, but what is the point in making somebody happy with a lie? The truth may be bitter at times, but at least it makes everything transparent. It medicates wounded hearts and simplifies confused minds.
As kids, when we disliked something, we used to say it then and there. As adults, we think, what will the other person think if I speak the truth? That is where the difference lies. The problem is, even before others start judging us, we begin to judge ourselves. At times, there may be nothing wrong with a situation, and our over imagining capability, for no reason, cooks up something in the mind and we behave strangely and insincerely. This hardly ever happened in childhood, isn't it?

So what is it of childhood that we miss? Being free of lies and judgements? Being free of worries and responsibilities? Being free of thick books and long travels? Being free of people's expectations and complaints? Being free of making tough decisions?
I feel, no. These are not what we miss of childhood. What we miss is, being free of our own judgements, being free of our own over expectations and assumptions, being free of our own prejudices and most importantly, being free of our own self.

Open souls, broad minds and ever welcoming hearts! That was childhood, and if thought of it, it is in every way possible to relive childhood if we are ready to set ourselves free from wordly fundas. Let the mind do its thinking and let the heart do its feeling.. we may fall down and get a scratch on the knee, but for every wound, there is soframycin, for every sorrow, there is a friend, for every failure, there is a supportive family, for every dull day, there is a tomorrow and for every evil, there is God.

Believe that you are a child, and life, all of a sudden, is simple, bright and mirthful! :)
